You may already book a new Galaxy Z foldable, Watch5, or Buds and receive a $200 credit

The new Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 will be unveiled on August 10th, according to Samsung. There are three weeks between now and then, but you may reserve a unit now - and there are certain benefits to doing so.

The presentation will not only include Samsung's next-generation foldables, but we've also heard reports about a new Galaxy Watch5 series and a new Galaxy Buds2 Pro headset.

for pre orders Reserve The Next Galaxy Smartphone, Watch & Buds | Samsung US

So, right now, you can reserve a phone, watch, or headset, or any combination of these. Each reservation comes with an additional $100 in store credit for one of the foldables, $50 for a Watch5, and $30 for the buds. However, if you reserve all three, Samsung will round up the credit to an even $200 (a $20 bonus). There will also be trade-in offers if you want to upgrade from an older gadget.

Please keep in mind that the reservation process only requires your name, email address, and (optionally) phone number. There is no monetary requirement.

Anyway, once you've reserved the devices you desire, you might want to download the Shop Samsung app to be notified when the pre-order period begins. The software will assist you in obtaining your special benefits. Alternatively, you will be emailed a link to assist you in claiming the benefits.

Last year, Samsung ran a similar early reservation drive. Of course, this is taking place before the Galaxy Z Flip4, Z Fold4, Watch5 series, or new TWS buds are announced, so we don't know what to expect (there has been no shortage of leaks, however). There is no downside to the reservation procedure, so you can simply cancel if you don't like the new enhancements.

Apple MacBook Air's M2 silicon is now available on Geekbench

The deluge of Mac 14,2 scores on Geekbench suggests that reviewers with early access to the new Apple MacBook Air are busily analyzing the performance of its new M2 CPU.

Surprisingly, the M2 in the fanless MacBook Air performs similarly to the M2 in the MacBook Pro 13, which has a single fan. Geekbench is a short benchmark that does not stress the chipset or generate enough heat to cause throttling.

However, early M2 reviews revealed that the new processor runs hotter than the M1, which can result in lower sustained performance. Those experiments are based on the single-fan MacBook Pro 13, and they will     very certainly provide the same results on the fanless MacBook Air.

However, we anticipate that the MacBook Pro 14 and 16 laptops will be well equipped to deal with the new silicon when it becomes available in Pro, Max, and Ultra configurations.

The MacBook Air launched on sale for pre-order on July 8 and will begin shipping on July 15, just a few weeks after the old-style, M2-equipped MacBook Pro 13. The Air is smaller, sports a new 13.6-inch 2560x1664px IPS LCD with 500 nits of brightness, MagSafe and two USB-C connections, and a new 1080p webcam, in addition to the improved processor (which has an 18% faster CPU and a 35% faster GPU).

Tips for Computer Maintenance for HP users

Computers today come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and each one keeps us connected to our digital world at all times. Whether you rely on your collection of devices for business or amusement, keeping them in pristine shape is critical. A well-maintained computer looks attractive, lasts longer, and operates consistently, from its cosmetic appeal to its operational effectiveness.

Keeping your PC in good working order extends its life, both internally and externally. A faulty operating system, an overheating CPU, or a rapidly draining battery are all avoidable computer problems that can be avoided with proper computer care and maintenance.

Let's have a look at these 10 vital PC and laptop maintenance suggestions to ensure your device continues to provide powerful performance and a stylish appearance for many years to come.

1. Use cushioning to protect

Drops, bumps, and slips all result in ugly cosmetic dings that make your computer look less-than-loved. If you're like the majority of people who travel with their computer, putting your computer into a carry-on can feel impossible. An unprotected laptop is vulnerable to all of the elements of travel against which you probably want to protect it.

Whether you're flying business class or to a classroom across campus, protecting your computer from the elements begins with a protective cover. There are several types of protection available, each with a particular level of armour and functionality. These are some examples:

Skins, which act as a full-body laptop sticker, are ideal for shielding the chassis from minor damage and scratches.

Snap-on hardshell coverings

Polycarbonate, plastic, or rubberized hard shell laptop coverings keep your PC safe while still allowing you to access ports, buttons, lights, and fans.

Sleeves

Laptop sleeves are a basic, soft, envelope-style pouch made of soothing materials such as nylon, polyester, suede, or microfiber.

Bag for messengers

The specialized laptop messenger bag, a shoulder bag specifically intended to accommodate your laptop and its peripherals, provides the most padded protection.

2. Arrange cords

The only thing more annoying than dealing with long, tangled cords is getting them all mixed up and twisted in the process. Keeping your digital world connected is essential, so ditching the cords isn't an option. Decluttering and organizing the snake-like tangle of wires erupting from your power strip and PC ports is an excellent first step for both desktop and laptop users. Try these wire management ideas:

A power strip that rotates

Traditional surge protectors have a single line or panel of surge inputs. A rotating power strip allows you to reposition your numerous chargers, monitors, and docks.

Cable color coding

Computer cables are typically two colors: black and white. It may be as simple as color coding your wire jumble with reds, blues, yellows, and greens, or putting labels in indistinguishable hues.

Cable ties

Attaching cable clips to your desk, wall, or floor simplifies wire management. These little clips are intended to hold cables of various diameters.

Panel of Organizers

A wire organiser panel supports several wires by acting as a panel of cable clamps. When using a weighted panel, stick it in place with adhesive or keep it on your desk.

Remember to keep your wiring away from any walkways. Tripping over wires could cause your equipment to topple, causing more harm in an instance than years of use could possibly do.

3. Install the most recent version of your operating system

One of the simplest options for basic computer maintenance is to maintain your operating system up to date. Whether you use Windows, Mac, or Linux, updating your PC when new patches become available guarantees that your PC remains at the bleeding edge of performance power.

Windows 10 is well-known for keeping users up to date with daily update checks. This automated scan runs in the background and always tells you if any critical software or operating system patches are required. The overall goal is to optimize your PC's performance, so whenever Windows proposes an update, do it.

Some updates will take longer than others. Set aside some time before bedtime or before a daybreak to relax.

4. Unplug to avoid overcharging

Good charging practices are the foundation of computer upkeep and maintenance. Many people are concerned about battery power because of their increased reliance on wireless devices. There are few things more horrible than a dying battery when you still have hours of work and enjoyment ahead of you. However, it is preferable to resist the temptation to plug in when your PC's battery life falls below 50%.

Unnecessary charging might result in overcharging, which reduces regenerative potential. This frequently appears to be a laptop that can't hold a charge as well as it once could.

Being tethered to the weight of a charger negates the purpose of wireless portability on a laptop. To avoid a terrible battery fate, unplug your smartphone after it has reached 100 percent charge and do not plug it back in until the power is low.

5. Remove all unnecessary files and apps from your system

The quantity of unused files on a computer's hard disk is the best indicator of its age. Unused apps and outdated garbage files are probably taking up more space than you realize. Your PC is bound to have its fair share of digital garbage on your desktop or in your start menu, from ancient versions of software to retired copies of your CV. If these apps and files continue to accumulate, they might quickly become performance hogs.

Use these PC purge strategies to alleviate your system before it reaches the point where it begs for extra storage space.

Uninstall trial software

Start disk cleansing software.

Clean out the recycle bin.

Remove any temporary files.

Clear the cache of offline web sites.

6. Conduct routine antivirus checks

Malware attacks can happen at any time, and if they do, having a knowledgeable antivirus on your PC will protect you from the damage viruses cause. Weekly antivirus checks ensure that your machine is constantly free of unwanted applications. A simple scan will look for any obvious threats or unusual behavior on your computer.

Consider running a virus check twice a week if you are a frequent online user who downloads programs and files on a regular basis. It is always best to err on the side of caution, especially when your data is at stake.

Malware infections can degrade your computer's functionality and expose your personal information to third-party attackers. A virus could also: Depending on the type of malware placed on your machine, a virus could also:

Slow web browser performance

Network connections should be disrupted.

Your system may freeze or crash.

Change your computer's settings

Unauthorized access to system resources is permitted.

7. Wipe down the keyboard and casing

You'd be shocked by how much dust and debris may be found beneath your keyboard's keys. A variety of unclean particles can clog your keyboard, ranging from food crumbs and dog hairs to dust and grime and anything else that can fit between the keys. This generally results in buttons that are sticky or difficult to press.

Clearing out these difficult-to-reach portions of your laptop or desktop setup is easiest with a pressurized air canister, which can be purchased at office supply stores, computer stores, and hardware stores.

For use with external keyboards

Remove the keyboard from the USB port or, if wireless, turn it off. First, turn the keyboard upside down and shake away any stray material. Spray pressurized air at an angle about one inch away from the keys. Finish with a moist microfiber cloth to remove any remaining dust or filth.

For laptop users

Start here if you're seeking for simple laptop repair advice: Turn off your laptop and unhook any USB or power supply connections. Tilt the laptop upside down and gently tap it to get rid of any stray particles. Place the laptop in its natural posture and spray between the keys from about a 1-inch distance.Short spurts of spray, flowing from one side of the keyboard to the other.

If you find that some areas are more difficult to clean than others, a cotton ball doused in isopropyl alcohol is an excellent alternative. Because alcohol evaporates faster than water, it is the ideal remedy for hardened debris.

Pro tip: When cleaning your laptop or desktop, avoid spilling any liquid on the body. Water and electronic gadgets do not get along and can cause severe damage to your PC.

8. Update your passwords

If you want to stay on top of your computer or laptop maintenance, upgrading your passwords is just as important as backing up your data. According to Verizon's 2017 Data Breach Investigations Report, an astonishing 81 percent of hacking-related breaches used stolen or weak passwords. Poor password behavior includes everything from using the same password for all accounts to using simple, easy-to-guess passwords like "password" or "123456."

Protecting your digital environment from cybercriminals should always be at the top of your work list when it comes to basic computer upkeep. No security system is flawless, and consumers are becoming more aware of this than ever before.

If it's time to change your password, try utilizing these strong password generation tips:

At least ten characters are required.

Make use of a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters.

Include both numerals and special characters.

If possible, include emoticons (:O,:(,:D,:), T.T).

A strong password protects all of your data from any third-party hackers, which is why it is such an important element of computer maintenance.

9. Sort your data

Desktop upkeep is essential and begins with basic actions. When your work and play schedule doesn't provide much time for calculated file management, it's simple to let your computer's data organization go astray. Your PC's various folders can become cluttered with old music files from your garage band days or downloaded add-ons for your favorite simulation game.

If you can't recall the last time you looked through your downloads folder, you're probably ready for a visit. The same holds true for the remainder of your default folders (documents, photos, etc.).

Dealing with a messy desktop or congested computer folders may seem daunting, but with these tips and tactics, you'll be well on your way to a working file system.

Apple iPhone 14 covers show 2022 lineup sizes, with the Pro Max having a slightly larger camera island

Apple is likely to release four iPhone 14 versions later this year, with the lineup changing as well. With the iPhone 12 and 13 mini not selling well, Apple will instead launch a larger non-Pro model to make the largest iPhone size more affordable.

DuanRui Tweeted the photograph after initially publishing it on Weibo. The entry-level iPhone 14 and 14 Pro are believed to have 6.1-inch displays, while the bigger iPhone 14 model and 14 Pro Max would have 6.7-inch panels. These models are similar to the metal molds we saw a few months ago.

DuanRui also released a side-by-side comparison of the sizes of the 14 Pro Max's alleged camera islands. The 14 Pro Max appears to be larger, which could indicate new camera hardware for the 14 Pro Max. According to reports, the iPhone 14 Pro Max will include a higher-resolution 48MP camera, and the front-facing cameras on the Pro models will be greatly improved. Otherwise, the forthcoming iPhone models appear to feature a similar design language, with flat corners and front and back surfaces. Instead of a notch, the notch is expected to be replaced with a dual punch-hole configuration for the Face ID hardware.

According to some rumors, only Apple's Pro models will receive the new A16 processor this year, while the 14 and 14 'Plus' will continue to employ the A15 found in Apple's iPhone 13 series. Apple is also likely to put this year's Pro models first.

Netflix makes spatial audio available on all devices

Netflix announced today that spatial audio will be available on all platforms. It will enable customers who do not have multichannel speakers to experience surround sound with only stereo speakers. On non-Apple devices, the functionality can transform a conventional stereo audio track into 3D spatial audio. Netflix has collaborated with Sennheiser to utilize the same 3D audio technology featured on the Sennheiser Ambeo soundbar to accomplish this.

As long as you access the stereo track, the spatial audio will function on any non-Apple device, including smartphones, tablets, and televisions. Because all processing is done within the Netflix app, no extra features are required on the playing device.

Currently, only a limited quantity of spatial audio content is available. To find all of the supported content, search for "spatial audio." As of now, Netflix is the only source of available content.

To determine whether the video is playing in spatial audio, check the title screen for a 5.1 or Dolby Atmos logo. If you see these logos, it means the device will instead play the surround sound audio track and will not enable spatial audio. Most televisions, for example, will play the surround sound track automatically with no ability to manually switch, so you will not hear the Netflix spatial audio but rather the TV's internal audio processing.

This may appear overly convoluted and counterintuitive, and it is. Fortunately, on Apple devices, things are much simpler. Netflix simply employs the built-in spatial audio functionality found on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and tvOS devices, and it works with all material that includes 5.1 or Dolby Atmos recordings. All you need is a current device that supports spatial audio and compatible Apple headphones, such as the AirPods 3, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, and some Beats models. Spatial audio content is now available for all subscription tiers globally and can be found by searching for "spatial audio."

The Realme GT2 Explorer Master will be the first device in the world to use LPDDR5X RAM

The Realme GT2 Explorer Master is planned to launch on July 12 with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The business published more stats today, leading us to assume it will be a powerful phone - the GT2 Explorer Master will be the first in the world to use LPDDR5X RAM.

Realme also announced the GT2 Explorer Master will have a metal frame and a 10-bit display with HDR10+ and up to 120Hz refresh rate in additional Weibo posts.

LPDDR5X RAM provides faster rates, up to 8.5 Gbps, as compared to LPDDR5. The new standard also consumes 20% less electricity, making it a win-win situation. Currently, Samsung was the first company to begin manufacturing such chips using the 14 nm process, and now Micron, based in the United States, has joined the fray.

According to official publications, the Realme GT2 Explorer Master's screen will have over 16,000 levels of auto brightness for a proper "eye protection experience." The front panel will have a 2.37 mm ultra-thin bezel on the bottom.

The formal launch is scheduled for next week, and we expect Realme to tease many more features in the days coming up to it.

The legend has evolved! Asus ROG Phone 6

Asus decided to bring its ROG gaming brand to the smartphone sector in 2018, and four years later, we have the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro - the 2022 editions with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The differences between the Pro and non-Pro models, like with the previous ROG Phone generation, are in RAM capacity and appearance, with the Pro gaining up to 18GB RAM and a configurable color AMOLED display on the back. Both ROG Phone 6 variants feature 6.78-inch AMOLED panels with a resolution of 1080 x 2448px and refresh rates of 165Hz. In auto mode, the touch sampling rate has been increased to 720Hz, and the max brightness has been increased to 1200 nits. Aside from the 165Hz setting, the display may be changed to 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, or 144Hz to suit your needs. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus is here to protect your device from scratches.

Both phones are equipped with Qualcomm's  latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1     CPU, as well as 12/16GB LPDDR5 RAM on     the ROG Phone 6 and 18GB RAM on the   ROG Phone 6 Pro. Storage is not     extendable and is limited to 256GB or     512GB of UFS 3.1 capacity.

The cooling system has been redesigned   to  work with the latest Snapdragon   processor, and Asus claims that it can   reduce CPU temperature by up to 10°C.

Asus is reintroducing its programmable AirTrigger ultrasonic buttons on the phone's right side and back, allowing you to map your commands inside approved games. In addition, the phone has dual front-facing speakers, three microphones, Dirac Virtuo spatial audio, and a headphone port. The phone is also splash-resistant to IPX4. A 50MP Sony IMX766 primary shooter, a 13MP ultrawide module, and a 5MP macro camera were also included to the camera section. The selfie camera has been upgraded to a 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor. ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro continue to use a 6,000mAh battery divided into two 3,000mAh cells, as well as dual USB-C connections - one on the bottom and one on the side. Like the ROG Phone 5 series, wired charging is limited to 65W. Android 12 with ROG UI and Zen UI takes care of the software.

For the ROG Phone 6 series, Asus is releasing updated versions of its distinctive AeroActive cooler and ROG Kunai controller, as well as new ROG Cetra True Wireless and Cetra True Wireless Pro headphones. The ROG Phone 6 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage will cost €999/£899 in Europe and INR 71,999 in India, while the ROG Phone 6 Pro with 18GB RAM and 512GB storage will cost €1,299/£1,099 and INR 89,999.

Xiaomi's new Mi 12S Ultra flagship smartphone features a massive camera sensor

Xiaomi is launching three new smartphones yesterday, one of which includes a somewhat large new feature: a 1-inch camera sensor, which is relatively large for a smartphone. The Mi 12S Ultra, Xiaomi's new top smartphone, is massive in every way. It has a 6.73-inch OLED display, a top-tier Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 system on a chip, and a camera-lens-shaped bulge on the back that takes up roughly one-third of the phone's rear side.

The phone's three cameras are housed within that faux-lens: a 48 megapixel ultrawide, a 48 megapixel telephoto with 5x optical zoom (and "120x" digital zoom that will most likely not look very good), and the 50 megapixel main camera, which employs the 1-inch sensor.A few firms have put 1-inch sensors in their phones before, but it hasn't been very widespread – 1-inch sensors are more likely to be found in higher-end point-and-shoot cameras like Sony's RX100 series. Because of its increased size, the sensor can gather more light and produce more detailed photos. It won't turn a phone into a DSLR, but it could be an improvement above the average smartphone camera; the iPhone 13 Pro, for example, has a sensor size of 1/1.65-inch, according to DPReview. (However, the actual size of a sensor's imaging area is smaller than its reported measurement suggests.)

The phone's camera system was "co-engineered with Leica," according to Xiaomi, and the business shared the expense of building the 1-inch image sensor with Sony, according to Engadget. Sony did introduce a phone with a 1-inch sensor late last year, but it only caught a portion of it, whereas Xiaomi's phone will supposedly use the entire thing.

Aside from the camera, the Mi 12S Ultra has all of the markings of a flagship phone. It is water and dust resistant to IP68 standards, features a big 4,860 mAh battery, 67W wired fast charging, and a 120Hz refresh rate display. The phone is also said to be the first Android device to support Dolby Vision HDR video recording.

The 12S Ultra will first be available in China. A variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will cost RMB 5,999 (about $900 USD), while a high-end model with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage would cost RMB 6,999 (approximately $1,050 USD).

Along with the 12S Ultra, Xiaomi is releasing two lower-end models: the 12S and 12S Pro. These two phones include a 1/1.28-inch main camera sensor, which is smaller than the Ultra but still larger than the normal smartphone sensor. The 12S has a smaller 6.28-inch 120Hz display, whilst the 12S Pro, like the Ultra, has a 6.73-inch 120Hz OLED display. The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip is shared by both devices. The 12S starts at RMB 3,999 ($600 USD), while the 12S Pro starts at RMB 4,699 ($700 USD)

Which one should I buy, the new Apple iPhone Air or the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge?

You've asked one of the most important questions in the tech world right now: "Which one should I buy, the new Apple iPhone Air or ...
